2015 5.0 Misfire/ Low Compression on Multiple Cylinders
Hello Everyone,
I recently had a problem with my 2015 F150 5.0 where the engine would make a clicking noise when idling. I took it in and the dealer said that they've had this problem before and they would replace the intake manifold and throttle body. The morning they went to install the items, they started my truck and it would not run right and would misfire but no Check Engine Light would illuminate. According to the Ford Service center, my truck was misfiring and that cylinder #4 had super low compression and two additional cylinders were losing compression as well. To give some background, the truck has 72k miles and is serviced every 5k to 8k miles with the best of synthetic oil and has never been abused. The truck 85% of the time is on the highway and has always run on 91 Octane fuel. I went with the tech to my truck and he ran an electronic compression test in front of me showing those results. He then said that the heads are probably gummed up, or something, and that whatever the problem might be would be top end related. Has anyone had a similar experience with their truck related to a top end and valves sticking and misfiring? The truck is under warranty so I'm not too concerned, other than being out of a truck for a few weeks. Seems a bit weird for a truck with such low mileage and has been taken care of. Any suggestions or comments. Thank You

Evidently they don't make them like they used to. At least it happened while it's still under warranty.
