Default Is an air upgrade worth it?

I am approaching 80,000km or 50K miles and I just did the plugs on my 2016 3.5 Ecoboost. I'm wondering if there is anything else worth doing to improve things and keep me busy but not obsessed. If I was to put in an aftermarket air box, would it be a good idea? I'm looking to be proactive in maintenance and do slight mods as the truck ages, maybe improve milage, horsepower, etc. Thoughts?

Air filter is all you need.

Stay with the OEM paper filter to keep your engine clean! A CAI is installed from the factory.

Everything I've read is it's waste of money. If it gave free HP or fuel economy ford would be using it from the factory

Wix 49883 is an 'upgrade'. Slightly taller filter = taller pleats = more filter surface area. CAI are not worth the money & the factory intake is already a CAI. Consider a trans service. Consider a tune.

trans service is a great idea. Costs about the same as a nice CAI and provides the value you’re looking for.

Got it. I’ll skip the cold air intake.

What is the trans service all about?
