2015-2016 - F-150 - Vibration On Acceleration Or Cruise - Inspect For Proper Driveshaft Installation
Some 2015-2016 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a vibration on acceleration or cruise that is originating from the driveshaft and/or rear axle. During preliminary inspection look for visible driveshaft damage, alignment of the axle pinion flange to driveshaft flange yellow dots, and that the rear driveshaft flange sits flat on the axle pinion flange.

Wow, that's interesting! Thanks for posting. I'm dealing with this type of vibration right now.

Reading the bulletin again, it mentions acceleration and cruise. In my case, I experience a driveshaft vibration at exactly 90 km/h (55 mph) and also when coasting from 80 down to 60 km/h (50 to 43 mph).
I wonder if "cruise" is also "coasting" as in foot off of the gas pedal.

I checked with my dealer and they said they have no such bulletin. I'm in Canada though.

Mine goes like this...
Drove the truck home from the dealership after taking delivery and noticed a vibration at exactly 90 km/h (55 mph). It was somewhat subtle but noticeable.
In the last few weeks, I've developed a vibration when decelerating between 80 down to 60 km/h. Whenever I let my foot off the gas pedal in that speed range, I feel the vibration.
The vibration is very high frequency, much faster than the tires are rotating so I know it's not the axle or wheels/tires. Its definitely something to do with the driveshaft or related parts.
I've had it to the dealer a few times now, but they won't quite acknowledge that it's a problem. The first time I dropped it off, I was told they couldn't feel any vibration.
I had them road force balance the tires and they said that when they hooked it up, the tires were almost perfectly balanced from the factory so nothing needed to be done.
I then asked them to check the pinion angles. They said they checked and everything was within specs.
They even had a Ford rep (supposedly) hook up an analyzer and it didn't register (he was there for a different customer). But I can feel the vibration as plain as day and I think it's getting worse. How anyone doesn't notice it is mind boggling.
So, here I am with a driveline vibration that is driving me nuts. I'm at the point where I will even pay out of pocket to get this looked at by someone who knows what they're doing and get it fixed.
If for some reason it doesn't get resolved, I will part with the vehicle, even at a loss. I can't stand the vibration.

I agree. This issue is really affecting my enjoyment of my truck. I'd be interested to hear your story so far.

Fords famous words I don't see it ,it's normal,I can't feel it,it's in spec, and othe quotes. How I see it if your trucks defective your stuck with it until it actly breaks then they have to fix it,other than than that they just give you the BS.
