2015-2016 - F-150 - Vibration On Acceleration Or Cruise ***SSM 46075***

I've had a similar vibration from day 1 that starts at 60 mph and settles down by 65 mph. Although I still feel a slight vibration above 65. I think there's some sort of resonance occurring between 60-65 mph.
I balanced the wheels, rotated them around, and finally gave up and went to the local Ford dealer. On the test drive, the tech agreed that the vibration wasn't normal, but after a day at the shop, I was told that the vibration was "normal" or within specs and that it was probably the Al body. You gotta love those Ford techs!
Thanks for posting the info on the SSM! I'm going to try again.

So today I had my truck in for the vibration and mentioned the SSM when I dropped it off. They called me about 3 hours later with an update saying they balanced the wheels and looked at the driveshaft/pinion flange which seemed good but vibration was still present and they would call me back once they hear back from Ford on how to proceed. A couple of hours later they called saying Ford wants to put new crown and pinion gears in the differential, apparently there is a defect in the machining of the teeth from the factory. They need the truck for a couple of days and won't have a loaner available until Nov. 21st so we will have to wait and see if this resolves the problem. I'm glad they are at least doing something about this and not telling me that is normal or within spec.

And here I thought it was all due to my level kit and rear blocks because that's when I noticed it. And now that it's noticed I can't unnotice it. I'll be having them check it at first service with the SSM in hand. Thanks for posting everyone, keep us updated.

Scheduled an appointment Wednesday at my dealer. Will have the SSM in hand and show it to them. Have a long road trip Thanksgiving, would be great to get this fixed before that.

So, the update on my truck after having driven it for a few days now with a new driveshaft installed...
My initial impression was that the vibrations were almost completely gone. I say "almost" because there is still a vibration present and I'm starting to think that something else is causing it. Since the truck's original driveshaft was out of balance, I have a feeling that the u-joint experienced extra wear and tear and that it too should be replaced. Everything I'm reading online suggests that a worn u-joint can cause high frequency vibrations.
The new driveshaft definitely helped a lot though.

Ah, thanks... I'll have to confirm what exactly was replaced. If the u-joint was replaced, then I have something else still going on. The vibration is much less than it was before though.
