True that ...2.7 is bad ***...but there is no replacement for displacement and equal turbos

Exactly don't get me wrong I'd buy a 2.7 in a heartbeat, especially if I traded wife's 15 expedition in but with the fuel economy my trucks getting and the power I love it, the 2.7 is a badass motor I'd buy it over the 5.0 or for sure but I'm a turbo supercharger kinda person I'm addicted to boost

3.5 Eco is a quick truck, but a stock one doesn't get to 60mph in five seconds flat.

Well mine did, I've raced it with drag radials ran a 1.88 60ft time and ran 8.78 1/8 mile at 79.13 mph how's it that hard to believe a 3.5 4x4 super crew does 5.5 to 60 mph mines a 2wd do u need to see the time slip? I smoked my buddies 2010 sho Taurus he went 8.9x in the 1/8 mile and there rated at 5.2 0-60mph, I've owned a 13 sho performance pack it ran 13.55 1/4 mile this truck is just as fast

My question is why didn't Ford put the 2.7 in the expedition? I feel like that is a match made in heaven.

It would be interesting to see dyno charts of the 2.7 and 3.5 overlayed on one another. Does the 2.7 have smaller turbos? Could be less lag. But the 3.5 should have about 40 HP advantage at high rpm.

2.7 in a new 4X4 Ranger would be a match made in heaven

I think they both use Borg Warner K03's but the 2.7's have a different version. Can't find the 2.7 specs anywhere but the 3.5's use a 51mm compressor and a 45mm turbine.

Anyone know the boost figures for the 3.5? I think I saw 15psi somewhere. The 2.7's get upwards of 29-30psi.

The 2.7 is in the low 22-23 range I believe, the 3.5 is 15 I believe not sure on the turbo size at all but both trucks are in s league of their own only thing close is a 6.2 Cheavy
