Is the 2.7 available on a 4x4 screw? I know there are lots of limitations, but not sure what all they are.

I just bought a screw with the FX4 package and it has the 2.7. I love it!

There are test that have the 2.7 doing 0-60 in 5.7 seconds! Probably with 3.73 gears and a 23 mpg highway rating, but that was sports car territory just a few years ago.

I recently floored my truck to get around someone with sport mode on, the power delivery was so strong that it shocked me how much it shoved me back in my seat.

I had a Mustang GT recently and currently have a BMW E90 with a manual, so I am not new to cars that can move quickly. This 2.7L is a pleasant surprise.

I did... Wouldn't let me have 4x4... Maybe cause it's a lariat with the 502a package?

There are certain trim levels that do not allow the 2.7.

However, I almost bought a Lariat FX4 Supercab with 2.7 so I know they are out there, but perhaps only an XLT with SuperCrew.

The do offer 20's with the 2.7 - but only with the XLT trim line!! Stupid.. I have a lariat 2.7 - ended up buying 20's off craigslist and put on... only came with 18's.. And the XLT's with the 2.7 with the stock 20's - have the same EPA ratings of 19/26. So Have NO idea why Ford offers the 2.7 in the Lariat trim line but denies you the 20's while they do with XLT's...

Nothing comes to mind that makes sense... my first thought was MPG's.. they would sacrifice EPA numbers.. but nope, they offer them with the XLT's with the same 19/26 rating they have on the rest of 2.7's.. nothing else comes to mind as to why they wouldn't offer with a Lariat - you can get all the other cool options and option yourself up to 60K dollar truck.. but it won't have 20's on it! (at least from the factory)

I'm telling u I'll run any 2.7 out there in a drag race, the 2.7 goes but it don't go like the 3.5 maybe if u compare different configurations, I don't see a 2.7 going in the 13s stock which I've done just ask my buddy with the sho Taurus what happened, couldant imagine the difference with a tune, I forget who compared the ford to Cheavy and dodge also the Toyota and it was 4x4 super crew 3.5 ecoboost and it ran 5.5 to 60mph per my track times 0-60 is 5.05 secs pretty stout for a stock truck
