Default 2.7 slight high pitched rotational type noise at idle or stopped in drive

Just wondering if any body has experienced this when engine is warm if i am parked or in drive completely stopped i am getting a slight/faint high pitched rotational type noise that will go away with very light throttle application. more pronounced when next to a building like a drive thru. New 2016 with 1,200 miles.

Is it the engine turning off, then when you give it throttle the engine should come back on, maybe that's the noise?

I was thinking possibly a bad pulley or tensioner. I just havent been to the dealer to have it checked yet.

I have that too. It's not loud enough to be worrisome, but it is louder than a Honda / Toyota car would be. I think American car manufacturers just haven't figured out how to make it quiet. They just insulate the cabin so you don't hear it rather than fix the problem at the source.

Yes just got it back yesterday and they can't figure it out- I looked on another forum and they say its related to transmission- so hopefully they can get it figured out-

Mine is going in for its 5th engine cooling fan. Check that. Although mine is the 3.5EB it sounds like a high pitched whine so it could be the problem you're having too.
