That chart is out of date Ford has made some changes and not bothered to update it.
here is a HPP frame in 145" that a guy posted in another thread.
If you have access to the truck the sticker is on the frame under the drivers door.

Was going to say the same thing. I have a 2016 2.7 powered Supercrew 4x4 in the 145" wheelbase. My frame per the sticker on it is an HD frame. No payload package on mine. Does not match the discussion above that only the payload package gets the HD frame...

Good data point. Do you have the tow package?

Yes - truck is equipped with the trailer tow package and factory trailer brake controller.

My 16 2.7 supercab 145" wheel base has the hd frame and does not have payload package or trailer tow package. It does have the hitch option and 3.73 locking rear.

It's just nice to have the extra. Our TT is 5000 lbs. We have a much larger one but it's parked and doesn't move. Our boat and trailer is 7500 lbs and it pulls nice too. It's gonna be gone very soon and we're getting a little openbow boat instead that we can take more places.

That was a 2015 chart so yes it might be different. I can't find this sticker... Is it on the side of the frame? On top? I might just be blind here....

Could be the tow package then that upped the frame. I need to find my other reference document, but it was also for 2015 so that might also have changed.

You checked your sticker and it shows HD frame on that model? Maybe after 2015 they just stopped using the LD frame altogether? Or it could be because of the 3.73 locking diff.... Do you have the FX4 package?

Man I wish these secret documents that float around were all in one place! Too often they get deleted too... It would be nice to know what's in a truck that you purchase right? lol

Me too. My 2.7 Scab is driving me crazy with its goofy doors and limited rear seating. I thought I would be ok with it, but I really miss my crew cab F250 with its 6.5' bed, normal doors, and larger rear seating area. My 2.7 Scab is a great truck and I love it in spite of all that, but I'd like to trade it in at some point for another 2.7, but this time go back to a crew cab w/6.5 bed, its the perfect combo for me. Don't need or want the 3.5 or 5.0 and certainly don't need or want to get back into a F250 diesel.

The 2017 document has the same information. I don't know if that means that the trucks didn't change (I wouldn't think they would have), but it has been a scientific wild-*** guess all along that LD frame = 2.7 without payload package or 3.5NA. The document doesn't identify which trucks get which.

And yes, it would be nice if Ford would leave the specs docs up and accessible to enthusiasts. I think their intent is generally to make them available for fleet customers, as the links floating around have all been to the fleet site, and I'm guessing if one had a fleet login, one could find the updated docs.

Thanks for finding a newer one! Well what's even more confusing when you bring in the 3.5 or 3.3L NA engines is that their payloads can match or exceed the 2.7 and 5.0 depending on the configuration. With Screw and longer box configurations, your weight limits are now because of the engine and not the frame. So this makes the confusing even more confusing lol
