So I'm trying to order a Lariat with a 2.7 engine, adaptive cruise and park assist, but they say that its not possible, must get the 3.5. Is this true? and is there a good reason?

That's correct for a 2015. Someone recently posted on here for 2016 you can get the 502a package now with the 2.7,something you couldn't do in 2015. I don't know if the 2016 will allow you to add those options. Only guess I have to as why it's not possible in 2015 is the increase in weight due to the 502a package additions would negate any benefit of the 2.7. Or Ford wants you to pony up more dough for the 3.5...just guesses.
