Default 2.7 Ecoboost Speaker Upgrade ideas/concerns/problems

Hello forum!

I am a new member, who just purchased a sweet 2016 XLT sport package Fx4 supercab and loving every minute of it. This is my first ford. I have been a GM man my whole life, but concerns of the "Chevy shake" and "Ram Rust" scared me away to try Ford.

Anyhow, enough about me. Onto my question. I love this truck but can't stand the audio system. I have the base 4in Sync. It has the front channel speaker if that makes a difference. I am looking to upgrade the speakers but keep it OEM looking if possible and within a reasonable budget of under 800-1000. Less would be better. Im not looking to BUMP like 10s/12s, But hit CLEAN and CLEAR with variety of music (from rock-country-hip hop). I dont know much about car audio, but hope a guru can advise in "layman terms" so I can go to the installer and be like "heres what I want, get it done"

Looking for advice on speakers:
-Replacing fronts (6x9? 6.5? Find 6x8? brands??)
-Replacing rears (I dont even know where to start in a supercab)
-Center channel? (Do i need to upgrade that?)
-Amps (4channel vs 5channel? Whats the difference?)
-Sound processor (Do i need it with an amp?)

Concerns:
-issues with 2.7 auto stop on speaker shut off (Lci6??? not sure)
-Mounting (fabricating for fronts? Im NOT cool drilling into the truck).
-Wiring: (with 2.7 autostop, do I need to wire to battery or is from the deck enough?? remember I dont need to power 10s/12s).
-Fake v8 sound (is an issue with the XLT package?)

I know thats alot, but appreciate you audio junkies who have done a 2.7 or anyone who is on that Yoda knowledge on installs.

Check some of the threads in the audio section. You will find most of your questions answered there.

I would recommend putting a sub in, at least one 8" or 10". In that case you will want a five channel amp and I would go with upgraded 6.5" speakers in front and back.

If you really don't want a sub, upgrade with 6x9 speakers in front and 6.5" in back (factory sizes) and get a four channel amp.

Either way you will want to wire directly to the battery. Also, Metra makes mounting brackets you can use for upgraded speakers.

I upgraded my system and ran a remote wire to some fuse rather than use signal sensing. Because of that I disabled auto start/stop as the system would cut out on restart.

Also there isn't any fake engine noise with XLT trim.

I remember reading a thread not long ago on here that someone just added a small amp to their truck and they said it made a huge difference in sound quality. In fact it was an amp made specifically for these new F150's with stock speakers. I wish I could remember the name, maybe someone else read the same thread and can chime in.

Here is a bunch of reading material that got me started.

I added a Kicker Hideaway sub, the small Alpine amp, and new JBL door speakers.

I replaced the door 6x9 and rear 6.5 with some alpine type s speakers. Improved it a lot but am going to add the alpine power pack. The factory soeakers were a joke. And the factory head unit isn't much better. It doesn't supply much rms at all. You'll need an amp of some sort whether you add a sub or not.

I highly recommend ordering the aftermarket brackets for the doors. I used the originals on the front where the speaker had to be cut out and then the bracket needed trimming. It was time consuming. I ordered the metras on Amazon for like 11 bucks for the 6.5
