25,000 miles on my '16' with no issues. Mileage in the winter is not so great, I'm in four wheel drive often, in snow and slush. All other seasons I average 21-22 mpg. Very strong running engine.

Any MPG above 13 is better than what I'm getting right now in my 7.3 and thats at roughly $3 a gallon. It adds up to OUCH every time I fill up. I'm a very conservative driver too, don't speed or run up on stops, not a stoplight to stoplight racer.

My driving is a good blend of city and highway, maybe 60/40 city/highway.

But I've read a lot since then and I don't tow heavy at all and I'm extremely interested in the mpg from the 2.7.

I keep reading about the "issues" all the ecoboost engines will have once they get some mileage on them. I don't quite understand what the issues they will have just because they have turbos. I've had a 7.3 psd since 2000 and never had one turbo issue of any kind, buddy of mine had his first turbo issue around 400,000 miles. I understand the diesels might be built a little heavier, but i can't see Ford putting all the engineering, time and money into an engine that will crap out in a few years time.

I'm still going for a 2018, but now I'm leaning towards the 2.7 over the 5.0, I tow around 4-5k lbs and not very often at that and essentially all flat ground and around 500-600ft elevation.

So, how many miles do you have and what issues have you had?

Thanks in advance.
i had a 7.3 before my f 150 and my turbo went at 140k so its possible for anything to break my 2015 2.7 has 57 k has not missed a beat

From reading here and there, this seems to be the most common one that comes up.
