2.7 Ecoboost issues so far?

That's a good point but remember you can delete a stowed trailer or in this case the "default" trailer at anytime. Just have to remember to do it before trading. The workaround is pretty funny actually, Ford spent millions designing this system and the owners defeat it with a $10 dummy plug!

Major problems for me.
Not so rock solid for me so far. Mine has 3000 miles on it and is now in the shop for the 5th time. 1st time: 700 miles check engine light and ran rough. They replaced a coil.
2nd time: 1400miles same issue, this time they replaced all six spark plugs, oil change (because they said none showed on the dipstick) and a new air filter. 3rd time: 2200 miles, billowing white and blue smoke, smelled like burning sulfur. This time they replaced the heads, and turbos. I got it home and the engine compartment was covered in antifreeze. Took it back and they tested it and said they must have over filled it and it spit out through the overflow. 5th time: 3000 miles. Oil pressure gauge drops to null at idle and low engine oil pressure alarm shows on message board. Currently at the dealer and waiting for #ford customer care to call me back. I have friends that live their 2.7s and have no issues, but that just is the case with mine.

7000 miles on mine, no issues thus far.
Only thing is that goddamn chirping noise but I have seen a few threads on here seeing dealers replace parts and it comes back eventually. Not worth the hassle IMO truck drives fine

I've been lurking for a while now, but this thread motivated me to register.
My 2016 with the 2.7 and 3k miles, is currently in the shop for the second time, it's the same problem, just wasn't fixed the first time.
So here's the issue: When the truck has been sitting a while (normally overnight or a long day at work), it will start but does not like to stay running. The RPMs will jump erratically between 500 and 1500 and eventually die. When it appears to finally be running smooth I will put it into gear and it will die. Typically it will only do this once or twice, and I'll restart and it'll be fine, however every once in a while it will take me 5 attempts to get going, and in one instance it took me approximately 25 times.
The first time the dealer had it for 4 days, the tech couldn't figure out, sent a hotline to Ford, the tech tried the Fords solution, I picked up the truck and the next day it did it again.
This is my first Ford and though I know this is not a common issue, I'm highly disappointed. Really missing my RAM.

My guess? Throttle body.

What's also interesting is that some seem to correlate a post count with credibility. My 2015 2.7L has been great so far - 15k miles. It's a very impressive motor and we'll see how it holds up. No matter what, shyte happens.
