Default 2.7 EcoBoost Exhaust

Ok guys, here's the video I've been promising. It's the 3" MBRP Stainless Exhaust with a 3" MBRP Resonator. It has a really nice deep mellow sound at idle, & it's not too loud when getting into the throttle. It doesn't sound as Honda Boy as some of the other exhaust out there, but it is a V6, so there's no getting rid of it 100%. The video is from a cold start, you can here the pitch drop as the rpm's ramp down. It actually has a very nice tone with some turbo whine in it.

Defiantly not bad, nice little rumble for a small v6. Notice any power improvements?

The butt dyno says it feels about the same. It definitely feels like it spools quicker when passing or rolling into the throttle. If I did pick up any power, it would be on the top end I'm sure.

Do you have the part numbers for the exhaust and resonator ? Sounds good at idle, what's it like in the vehicle ? Probably the best eco boost exhaust I have heard thus far.

Hey Fasttimez, I really admire the sound of your new muffler… I was trying to find out little more informationis the reference MBRP R1013 3" Inlet/Outlet 16" Body 20" OverallLength T304 Stainless Steel Resonator or any other larger? The other questionis did it improve on gasoline? By the numbers in You-tube didn’t get anywhere. If you can share!

Part #'s are as follows, MBRP 3" #S5253409 & MBRP Resonator #R1013. I have the 145" wheelbase so I had an extra clamp that I didn't use because I didn't use the extension pipe piece in the kit. So I had to order an extra 3" clamp to mount the resonator. I ordered the exact same clamp that came in the kit, it's a Torca AccuSeal Clamp Part#A30BF. I cut a section out of the exhaust & installed the resonator, fit right in with no problems. I installed the resonator because it had just a little drone inside the cab that I wanted to get rid of, you guys might not be bothered by it. I haven't had the exhaust on long enough to see any gains in MPG yet. The exterior sound didn't change at all by adding the resonator, just cut down on inside cab drone. I'd just install the exhaust & see if you like how it is before you go & order the resonator.

Sounds good probably not as loud as the 3" MBRP i had on my 13 F-150 with the 3.5L Eco Boost but i didn't have the resonator.Living in Virginia the Stainless exhaust should hold up pretty well. But here in Northeast,Ohio and the winter salt mine wasn't looking so good after a couple months.I should of waited till spring to put it on but bought it the first of January this year and wanted to know what it sounded like.I ended up painting it with Rustoleum paint in the spring.I sold the MBRP exhaust to my brother end of July and he put it on his 14 F-150 when i got the 15 F-150 with the 2.7L Eco Boost.I don't know if i'll put a cat back on this one or not.I do think my mileage picked up with the MBRP exhaust, didn't pick up at the 1/4 mile track though!!!
