1st week of my 2019 plat 5.0
Just starting to drive it - seems kinda underwhelming on power atm. I am coming from a 2016 ecoboost lariat. Are there tunes for v8 5.0? What is recommended? It literally feels like my old truck had more power. it rained today and i noticed when doing sharper turns that the back wheels "jittered" a bit. very noticeable.

Well that's the "good" gearing, not the 3.31. Aside from trading it back in on a ecoboost, which the limited has the raptor engine for 2019... a tune isn't going to do much on a non-turbo motor.
2016 3.5 ecoboost: 365hp 420ft/lbs torque
2019 5.0: 395hp 400ft/lbs torque
2019 Limited 3.5 ecoboost: 450hp 510ft/lbs torque
2016 3.5 ecoboost: 365hp 420ft/lbs torque
2019 5.0: 395hp 400ft/lbs torque
2019 Limited 3.5 ecoboost: 450hp 510ft/lbs torque

I also got "floor liner - tray style" pads that came with the fx4. Assuming i should just store these and go forward with getting husky liners? Getting the ceramic tint tomorrow and starting my upgrade journey

The 5.0 may feel "slower" from a dig, but it is plenty powerful. Doesn't have the turbo's spooling up for the low end torque.
When we drove an XLT with the 5.0, my wife thought it was slow, but she drives a 16 2.7. Ended up getting a Lariat with the 2.7, but for a daily driver, nothing wrong with any of the options. I won't tow, so no need for the bigger engine, but a 5.0 can sound awesome with a good exhaust.
You want more power, add a whipple!

Well either be happy with it (I do miss having the v8 noises), or see if your state has a "cool off" period for buying a car- sometimes you get 3 days to turn it back in and possibly upgrade to the ecoboost if the power is going to bother you.
