Better yet, read the last 15-20 pages of that thread and educate yourself on how not to get screwed. There isn’t enough information here to definitively say if it’s a good price.

What happens if they deny a warranty claim and you disagree?

Any Warranty a dealer offers typically requires you to have ALL recommended service performed at the dealership, including oil changes. Now if they give you a genuine Ford Premium Care Extended Service Protection Plan, then you have something! Good luck.....

You have to tell us all the rebates to know what kind of discount they are giving you. But just looking at the MSRP and that price it is a good deal. An 11% discount and 6k in rebates is close to what you are at and who is going to call that a bad deal?

Buy it.

Really just curious, but why are you so adamant about the doc fee? You’re spending $40k on a truck where the dealer has taken out a high % of his margin already, and a $199 doc fee is where you draw the line?

I get your point, but it's just bs. Like a gas station charging you for a receipt for your purchase.

I think I am going to. Heading down to visit some dealers shortly. Will update once I get back.

All the more reason to keep what's left in his pocket, not?
I've never paid this silly ripoff, garbage, B.S. way of extracting more money from customers fee and would much rather walk out the door if they insist on it. But as i said, I never paid it and have no intention on ever paying it. I wont even waste my time discussing it with the salesman, other than a NOT PAYING IT.

It’s just funny to me what some people get stuck on in their head. If the salesman would have offered a price of $38,200 but NO doc fee, it sounds like he (and you) would be happy with that deal.

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is the final aggregate price. So long as you are happy with that, then it doesn’t matter which pieces comprise it. I’d recommend saving the blood pressure and angst when he’s being offered a great deal.

Please better explain, you mean that your paperwork magically gets submitted and filed at the court house and the dealer is doing absolutely nothing for this allowed fee?

Just asking!
