They're almost identically powered: 395 vs 395 and 410 vs 400. The Ram has the superior ZF tranny, even though it's 'only' 8 gears (more than enough). What is hurting the Ram is the weight difference. That prehistoric engine, down to an iron block, adds a lot of that difference. They always leak due to the aluminum heads (dissimilar metals); it's only a matter of time. My brother has had 3 SRTs, and they all leaked by the heads by 20K miles. With their stupid cylinder deactivation, they're more complex than they have to be, so probably not as reliable as a simple pushrod engine of yesteryear. GM pushrods are also a lot more complex now, due to variable valve timing. Can't believe both of those dinosaurs still pass emissions. Ha ha. But at least the GM small block is all aluminum now. A good buddy of mine has been driving King Ranches for a while. His company is replacing his 2017 with a 2019 Ram Limited. Curious to hear his comparison.

Physics is a bitch, similar power + much less weight = F150 wins.
