Default '18 Platinum F150 vs '18 Raptor

Hey everyone, looking at purchasing a new truck. Trying to decide between the two. Was just curious if anyone has owned both and could give a good idea of the differences. I know the differences on paper for the most part, but just curious how that translates to real world feel and use. I have heard the raptor has more road noise inside, and it also has more body roll in corners. I just haven't had much seat time in either and wanted to get others perspectives. If I did go with the Platinum, I would level it and prob switch out the suspension. Thoughts?

No one can decide your use case. That’s the main difference.

Just wondering what the main differences are...not asking anyone to make my mind up for me. But thanks though

I suggest you go test drive both and you'll probably answer your own questions for you.

Go drive them.

Totally different ends of the spectrum.

If you level the platinum it will ride rougher and put off road tires it will be louder.

They're not even the same truck... That's like asking the difference between an ecoboost mustang and a shelby GT350.
Platinum truck is for driving on road in quiet comfort, towing your fancy boat or looking rich in the mall parking lot.
Raptor is for serious offroading, or looking like a badass in the mall parking lot.

Are you planning on doing serious off-roading? If yes, Raptor. If no, Platinum.

If you have a Raptor that's bone stock, has perfect paint, and has no mud on it anywhere... people will laugh at your pavement princess!

Many of the rich younger guys I know (yeah, daddy's boys) traded their EB SCrew Platinums for EB SCrew Raptors. And not only that, but they outfitted them like if Armageddon was real. I'd say most of them did it for ego reasons, so now they have the most expensive F-150. But before they souped them up, they told me they were definitely louder, but not overly so (probably due to the larger/off-road tires). Also that they felt just as slow (or quick ), and that they ate gas like there was no tomorrow. Other than that, pretty much the same thing. Yes, they have paddles (Platinums don't), but they don't even use them. They also miss the massaging seats, but said the seats were about the same in tems of comfort. Unless you want to show off, are a poser, or really would use the truck off-road, the Raptor is an absolute waste of money IMO, plus you can't get many of the luxury features on a Platinum. Need to make up your mind what you want . Good luck.
