OK so back to my observation on the traction control I mentioned. Do you think that the traction control is more pronounced on the 3.31 gears because of the higher wheel spin.

Wow...he gets stuck and all this noise without telling him the real problem.

hmm, Do you have the wrangler fortitude tires still, if so you are lucky you didn't get stuck in your own garage. That's the real problem.

Turning the traction control off by pushing the button on the dash has allowed me get through the snow. Using 4 Wheel Low Range will also disable the traction control and that's what I have normally done as that allows one to keep the engine revs up.

Again is anyone able to comment on the Traction control with 3.31. Is it more sensitive. I have never had to press it on the 6 speed 3.55.

Finally from the original post on I have owned the Goodyear Wrangler SRA the Goodyear Fortitude and now the Wrangler Adventure Kevlar. the Later being the worst. Can we summarize that they all suck. I would review the SRA being the better.

So you are trying to justify your in ability of how much snow you can drive through on cheap stock tires, it is not going to matter if you have 4.10 gears it is all in how you drive that truck, I live in snow for a better of 5months a year in 2wd rarely use my 4wd even ice fishing on stock tires

For the guy who says put it in 4low and rev it up - The object is to NOT spin. Spinning gets you stuck (digs). Leave traction control on and 4hi and use the right foot a little harder.

Faster tire rotation should occur from 3.73 -> then 3.35 -> then 3.31 and finally 3.15...

I doubt anyone can really notice this difference at plain looking. Maybe comparing a 3.73 and a 3.15 side by side, hmmm...

I'm leaning to believe TC needs to work a bit less from the higher to the lower gears.
