Default ‘17 STX package backup camera question.
Hey everyone. New F150 owner here. Got a ‘17 XL with the STX package. Sync 3, large screen, etc. I’m coming over from an explorer with basically the same sync system. Now my question is regarding the backup camera, when I put it in reverse there are no lines, no nothing. Just the image. The salesman told me that this model truck doesn’t come with the lines. I know it doesn’t have the backup assist or whatever because there are no sensors in the bumper. Is this true? And if it is can I get them on there with the FORScan thing? Thanks

I have a 2018 STX, and mine has the guidance displays you're talking about.

My 17 XL with STX package has the lines. It also has trailer tow assist package. Not sure if thats a difference in having lines or not.

Is that an on/off option in the sync settings? I have a 15 lariat but I can turn these off/on on my two other vehicles with backup cam and sensors

I have an 18 STX it has the lines but they go away if you plug in a trailer.

i have lines and guides on 2018 .. they are useless anyway.. you never end up where it tells you that you're going to end up

the only thing I can turn on and off in the sync setting is the camera itself and the delay.
