Default '15 Supercab Audio

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has done an audio upgrade for a complete system on a 15 super cab, I just got a quote for about 2900 on an all kicker system with a five channel amp, 2 10"s under the rear seat, all with the stock 8 inch head unit.

No but that seems awful high to me assuming it is replacing the 4 main speakers, adding amp and 2 subs.

Better get more estimates, that's a ridiculous price, or maybe I'm just and old fart?

Way high IMO. For that price you should be able to do a Focal/JL Audio combo and have a much higher end system. Like others have said get some more estimates.

Depending on what they plan on using to process the stock signale, that might not that bad of an estimate. What did they quote for wiring? Does that include any sound deadening? What's the sound processor? If that only includes LOC's look for a better deal.

That's not bad really. All depends on what you are after.

I'm utilizing the following.
Audison Bit One processor
Audison Bit In (input from processor to amp)
Audison AV 5.1K (1650 watt 5 channel amp)
JL Audio 10TW1 shallow subwoofers (x4)
Focal Flax components (soon to be Audio Frog components...Gary Biggs' company)

In the above, I've hit a retail of 3K, before the subwoofers/components/labor/materials.
Thankfully through long standing industry relationships I'm lucky enough to utilize accommodation pricing to support my habit.

So, yeah, it's not a bad price if you are getting a quality processor and a quality installation.

I just got a super crew done. Using Focal speakers 5 way amp and 2 8inch subs with a box built. Also had sound deadening stuff put on and and they did some tuning.

They originally thought they NEEDED to do a ton of tuning with a tool and it was going to cost a bunch for that, realized with the lower end stock audio they didn't have to alter it as much or worry about the fake noise from the engine. So went with two subs and a custom box instead. I paid around what you did and while it was expensive the sound quality is amazing compared to any high end system I've gotten stock and I don't regret it. Have a few pics of the box and what pieces were used in the thread here.https://www.f150forum.com/f118/my-xl...-5-eco-313185/

Not as of current, needing a couple of days off to get it done. That and get some time on the CNC machine.

My truck is the 2015 Lariat, Super Crew with the horrendous Sony system.

I put Audison speakers in the doors, custom built sub box with 10in phoenix gold shallow sub and phoneix gold 5 channel amp. With an Audiocontrol LC7i... I wanted this perfect, So i went to a local shop. 600 for labor alone. Very clean install, but the "custom" sub box sticks out a little and the seat is a quarter of an inch from going all the way dow. not a ton of room in the supercab.
