'15 Broken into... how!?
So to my gut wrenching, want to punch someone in the face experience the other day. I walked out to see my doors barely closed my glove box, console & the hidden spot under navigation open with things tossed all over the seats.
》》I locked my truck.《《
QUESTIONS!
•Did they have a repeater and extend the fobs reach?
•Find it through my VIN?
•An admin unlock code for the door key pad?
•Hack sync or Bluetooth?
•They have the device that catches your code when you lock it?
☆☆Has this happened to anyone else!? ☆☆
I'm concerned! I don't want this truck to be repeatedly broken into and will seriously regret buying it. :-(
I live in Baltimore { Insert laughing and the "not shocking"}
The kicker I heard my alarm go off!!! {Talk about kicking ones self in the ***} {Street parking}
Just out of my cameras range so idk who the little F☆*!er is.
My guess is that the motion sensor alarm that goes off if you don't have they fob went off and spooked them.

Had this happen to about 15 vehicles in our neighborhood recently including my '14 Fusion. Consensus by local law enforcement was that a FOB range extender was used as 4 of my neighbors all kept their keys hanging by the front door as well as mine in my front office. I am very diligent about locking my doors and with no signs of forced entry, I was led to believe they may be correct.

They're getting creative these days. They used to punch the lock cylinder in.

I find it funny that so many peeps here "regret buying" their trucks for the weirdest reasons. What has this to do with regretting your purchase? It would have been the exact same thing with a different car / truck / SUV.
Back on topic, it's a cat & mouse game between automakers, alarm companies and the thieves so it will continue to happen regardless of all the new tech. There are many low-life suckers out there who have no respect for others' property.
You said the alarm went off, did you go out? Call the cops right away?

A set of lock picks and 30 seconds and even a beginner is in! If it was an extender the alarm would not have sounded correct?
