I am sure you can use an external mic. It's a PX3 based system. When you get yours can you get some close up pics of the connector and pin-outs? I will check my connectors and see if I missed that plug. Otherwise I plan to add it.

I've had one from linkswell installed in my truck for about 6 weeks now. it is a cool product...some bugs need to be worked out...hopefully in future firmware updates.
My biggest gripe is about the music player. i have tons of music on a usb drive. The interface only sorts by album name...not artist. I have 128gb of music on there so it is tedious to find stuff.
Other thing is outside air temp. It always says -47 degrees. I live in southern california...not southern siberia.
The navigation system is great. i downloaded waze and set it as default nav and it works very well.

Ok just got my unit in. In the process of installing it but wanted to give a quick update.
The unit i got was from Phoenix Radio and when comparing to the video from Linkswell noticed a couple differences so far. The one i got does not have the 3.5mm jack for the external mic. In the video it looks like it is on the same bundle as rear view and 360 camera bundle. So, if i had a better picture of one that does have this, sure could splice a connection into the bundle.
I did notice the PR version was a lot nicer as far as wiring and dressings. The couple power connections needed were already made, crimped, and wrapped as with the LW version, it was a typical mess of wires and you needed to make these connections yourself.
Thats the only differences i noticed so far, but will update once installed.

Ok so got it all installed. All pretty much straight forward and not difficult at all. Unit powered right up and my god it looks good lol.
I didnt have to much time to actually test it all out but did a few things.
Radio - works great and sounds much better than stock Sync 2 system.
Back Up Camera - Works instantaneously and clear. Guide lines move and work like factory.
AC/Seats - All AC/Heat controls for AC and seats work with no major issues. I do have the issue where the temp is way off but there is a fix for that, just have to find instructions again.
GPS - Did not run any Nav, but did test to see GPS signal was really strong and accurate.
I will do some more testing around lunch and then later today. Let me know if anyone has any questions.
