You gain a much high fidelity media source for your oem or aftermarket stereo, you gain access to every app within the android App Store, you gain vehicle obd connectivity, you gain much larger backup/360 camera overview, the list goes on. The sync 3 pass through is an excellent feature but just scratches the surface.

I wrote a little tutorial on how to get your hotspot to turn on automatically when you get in your truck and turn off when you get out. I typed in a Word document so I'm just going to post that up here. I have provided a link to the Tasker file you will need to get this going. When you click the link for Auto Hotspot, it will open up a lot of code. Don't worry; just click the download arrow in the upper right corner of the page and it will download the file properly. Let me know if you guys need anything else. I will do my best to answer all of your questions.

I tried it with LG GThinQ 8.0 Android & while it does show BT Connected in Tasker, it gives message 'An error occured while executing Action: Wake Device!"
Any ideas?

Aw man... I haven't messed with this in a while and it didn't seem as anyone was interested so I don't even use this anymore. Sorry dude.
I only used the trial versions of everything so when the trials were over, I quit using it.
I seem to remember there was a "Wake Screen" command in one the apps that I listed.
