Sync3 is easily one of the most intuitive and reliable systems on the market - especially compared to UConnect, EnTune, and MyLink.

And yet it still lame. OEMs systems are far too appliance like, and closed ended.

Due to the time difference in Asia customer service was spotty and always 24hrs delayed.

Keep us updated...
The Linkswell unit has now been released. ADC Mobile sells them. I spoke with Walter, National Sales Manager at Linkswell, and he told me that ADC was one of the only authorized online dealers. I asked him about the phoenix and how the price was so much lower. He said the hardware may or may not be the same but "good luck" with the software. He told me linkswell designs all of their software in house and is in no way affiliated with Phoenix nor do they sell any equipment to them. He said the Phoenix was full of bugs. I hope it all works out.

There is nothing in the software that would make me pay 3x as much for the same hardware and functionality. Linkswell is not manufacturing anything, they are reselling. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't manufactured by the same exact manufacturer.

I already have the Phoenix unit and it may not be perfect, but nothing ever is. I am very satisfied with what I have and the price.

That's great to hear! How's the startup time? Does the backup camera come on immediately if you start the truck and put it in reverse?

The startup could be faster. This is a problem with all Android HUs with the PX3 processor. The Tesla unit provides the backup camera output almost immediately. The HU boots in about 20 secs.

When they move to a PX5 processor, startup should drop to about 2 seconds.

Wow, that's a huge leap forward! Any idea when they will be using the PX5?
