Default 465,000 Mile 2.7

I have a friend at church that delivers after hours and emergency parts for Motion Industries. Pat gets the call when some large plant or factory needs a part and they need it ASAP. Anywhere in the Southeast. Last year on 6-1-16 Pat traded his extended cab GM pickup on a new 2.7 EB F150 XL Super Crew. 3.31 gear. Today on a trip to Midland City Alabama he rolled over 100,000 miles. Oil changes and air filters have changed, nothing else. OEM plugs still on duty and doing fine. He never turns the stop/start off. Factory Michelins look ready for another 100,000 miles.

That's an incredible amount of miles in a year. Great to hear the truck has performed well.

He's on his way back from the Midland City trip as I type this and I'm messaging him on Facebook....he posted the odometer picture there. I asked about oil. Motorcraft sym/syn 5/30... just like the book says. Pat's not one to overthink the whole maintence thing....he's not tuned up like that.
I think many forum users are guilty of overthinking many things like oil changes. Just being on this forum is some indication of that. Nothing wrong with that. Pats experience shows that a regular guy following the manual can do pretty well.
I look forward to watching his miles pile up.

With that many miles, I don't see him having time for anything but driving!

I really don't think that this means anything other than your friend drove a lot of miles last year.

There is a huge difference in maintenance costs between a vehicle doing 100k miles in a year and a vehicle that does 100k miles in 10 years.
