I was pretty skittish going first year new tranny and engine but did it anyway... 3600 miles and very happy so far. I've towed 10k + a few times and the entire setup has been pretty smooth. No regrets...

I do not think it will fit in the Stingray. I know for 17 its only the 8 speed auto

The new tech doesn't bother me in the slightest, if I have problems i'll just trade it in before warranty expires, and if I don't have problems... Well, i'll probably still trade it in before the warranty expires... LOL

Currently I have about 7500 miles on my max-tow 10-speed, 3500 of which were towing a 6,500-lb travel trailer. I have seen no evidence of any problem with the transmission or engine so far. I have zero regrets about my purchase.

Mine has 5k miles on it. Feb build date. The overdrive gears are excellent, buttery smooth shifts I can barely feel. The direct drive and down gears are clunky and occasionally slam the truck. I also get a "click" from the transmission when accelerating or letting off the accelerator in the direct driver or under gears.
That's all unladen. When towing 7k lbs, the transmission is great. Soft shifts thru the entire range and no noises. Because of how tight the gear ratios are, it's a great towing transmission.
Overall, I wish I would have waited. I'm concerned about how it operates unladen and I can't stand the noises.

Remember this is the same transmission that has been in use for over a century and has proven itself bulletproof.
