Default Worth the body work? 2006 f150 XLT Supercab 4x4

Just picked up and '06 f150 XLT Supercab 4x4.
Typical rust in all the right places. Only the passenger side rear fender is rusted through.
Has 225000km.
Plugs changed in' 16
Oil changed every 5000km
Not a contractor or commuter truck. More groceries and hockey practice.

How much longer can I can I expect to get out of the truck? And, is it worth the body work and paint job? Keeping in mind it will be done in my own home shop. Over time.

You can find replacement tin or make your own. If you're doing the work, do it.

Pictures, and price paid vs the Canadian equivalent of Blue Book value would help a lot. Right now we can't make much of a determination because we haven't seen anything to advise anything.

I paid $5300 for truck. From the Used Vehicle Information Package, it says the wholesale value is $7250 and retail is $9450.
It needed new lower ball joints, both sides, for safety. Cost $600.

Mainly cosmetic, so it really comes down to how long you want to keep it and how important the cosmetics are to you.

When we get bed damage/rust in our work trucks, where we don't care as much about body lines, I would call a local Commercial Truck Body installer and pickup a new take off bed. I think the last one I got was around $500 and they asked for $200 for the install and to trash the old bed. May be a little tougher to find one for a 1/2 ton, though.

If you really want it to be in good shape, you should get a whole new bed with tailgate, two new front fenders and cab corners / rockers.

DOnt buy aftermarket body panels. One seller confirmed the sheet metal is thinner than oem.

Have the doors started to rust at the inner bottom lip?

Edit: your truck would be a super crew, not super cab. Scabs don't have cab corners.
