I'm having some some paint chip off thats starting at the bottom of my doors and I want to nip it in the bud before it gets serious as I live in an area that has pretty serious winters where they put a lot of salt on the roads. Theres also some small rust spots starting in the wheel wells that I'd like to fix before they get too serious. Just looking for the best option to do this myself.

While its still just surface rust I would sand it down to bare metal, prime it, then hit it with a can of matching paint. Only because its at a low spot on the truck. Another option would be to paint the lower 1 or 2 inches of the truck in rhino paint.
