Paint Power Retractable Step
Hello Everyone,
The paint on my factory power retractable steps has worn off in the area where we step on. To make them look new again, I was going to repaint them with a spray can of Rustolem Bed Coating, which states it is a primer and paint that is textured and non-slipping.
Has anyone used this product and/or painted their steps? I was hoping to get some tips ex. Do I need to sand the lightly texture paint that's already on it? What grit do I use? etc... Thanks in advance.

Sand clean and give it your best shot, you can always redo.
I used it on my front coils of my 78' F350, looks good on them if you like the flat textured look.
I used Scotch text tread tape on the step wear area of mine on my 03', worked and lasted as well as made non slip.
