Hood to brace filler ?
Carb cought on fire and caused some slight warping/oil can although fixable on my 78' hood near center windshield area.
My ? Is.
What type of foam filler can i use between hood skin and inner brace to firm up and take out the oil can effect from the surface skin.

Theres expandable foam epoxy . I use it for roofs and door skins . sometimes around the gas cap openings on quarter replacements .

Thanks for the response and link, i will check it out.
Had a similar issue on my roof compressing when i tried sanding, having been a remodeler and amateur analyst to numerous problems, knowing it to be unorthodox i used a poly butyl roof caulk that never hardens but dries to a firm but flexable consistency and has superior adhesion, bridged some between the center brace and roof skin ... problem solved, no more compressing of the roof panel.
Had thought about it on the hood but will try the foam 1st, is it easy to trim if it expands beyond the bracing, wanting to keep it on the neat side since it will be exposed.
