Transmission whine in reverse
2020 F150 Platinum with 3.5 EB with 20k miles. Build date 12/2019.
Im getting a very faint whine in reverse. It’s faint and very high pitched. So much so that it almost sounds electric, as opposed to distinct gear whine.
I only get it in reverse when I’m slowly backing up after starting my truck. I don’t get any noise in forward gears and the transmission otherwise shifts and drives excellently.
Does anyone know if this is “normal” or what may be causing this? I’ve read about TSB’s related to transmission whine in 2019/2020 models. But I don’t know if this is that or something else.
