Transmission Cooler on a Manual Transmission

Default Transmission Cooler on a Manual Transmission
1990 F150 5.0L swapping 408C.I TKO or Magnum trans
Just a quick thread had trouble finding answers anywhere else. I'm going to be running a manual transmission in a performance application, maybe light light towing. The radiator I'm buying has a transmission cooler inlet and outlet, should I run it or just cap it.

The gearbox doesn't get hot enough to require cooling.Sure wouldn't want that thick oil staying that way during winter up in Ontario.
