Default 2000 f150 4.6L (w) want to swap to 5.4L HELP ME!!!

Hello. I have a 2000 f150 with a 4.6L but the engin is shot and wont even start anymore. Anyways I have a parts truck and want ti put a 5.4L motor tranny and transfur case in to my truck. Do I have to swap ecu's? Do i need a programer?Harrnesses's?

Any info you guys can provide me with would be amazing I just pulled out my motor out my truck and also I am puttibg a 3 inch body lift on as well so you guys know. ..thank you

5.4 swap wouldn't be difficult. Get it with the harness. Don't need to change the tranny or transfer case. ECU has to be programmed, but you'll reuse your original. Try to get the 5.4 with exhaust manifolds and all sensors if you can. May have to get some exhaust work done.

Thanks.

it went well running good. But what programmer do I need to buy to set my ecu up now. And can I some how get more power at the same time wail im fixing the ecu with the programmer

I would suggest calling MPT(More Power Tuning) and purchasing a SCT tuner from them. They'll give you 3 custom tunes to suit your needs. Running one on mine & I love it.

BTW, congrats on completing the swap! There's a HUGE difference in power & torque from the 4.6 to the 5.4. I'm sure you'll be pleased.
