Default 3.5 EB “EB vs High Output EB” - what is the difference???

I just bought my truck late last summer with the 3.5 EB then they come out with the HO version before I even get 10,000 miles on this thing! I am wondering what the differences are, other than power ratings of course, and whether I can swap parts with the HO parts if the differences are mechanical?

Thanks for any help!

the HO is the raptor engine, which is now available in the limited. You could swap turbos if you wanted, or you could just get a tune for your truck and make even more power.

so the only differences are the turbos themselves and the tune?

the turbo's on the HO eb is really what make the hp numbers go up. a tune will increase it even more

so if no engine internals are different, does it stand to reason that we could swap to larger turbos on our regular EB’s without any danger to the engine, since ford has done the same thing with the HO EB version? How can we be sure the turbos and tune are the only differences?

OK I got it. Has anyone tried swapping to them? If you could get a pair off a wrecker it may be a really inexpensive way to tack on more power?

You'll get more from a tune than just swapping the turbos.

And, a tune likely will be less $$$, very easy to do. I'm running a 93PRX tune from MPT. According to dyno sheets of theirs, I'm putting on the ground what the HO makes, +/-. Each engine is different, I could be less, I could be more.
