Default Rear End Issues from Condensation?

I was just told that I need to have all rear end bearings and seals replaced because of water damage. Cost is close to $800
I am told the water did not leak into rear end but that it was created from condensation that forms when I launch one of my boats and the rear end is hot/warm and when it hits lake water it cools quickly and forms condensation internally. This creates rust and over time damages bearings. I can only remember one time where I had to back my truck into water far enough for rear axle to be under water. I was at lake that had very shallow boat ramp. My F150 is 2010 two wheel drive and has 77k miles. Anyone else heard of this issue, had this problem or have ideas on how to keep from happening again? Mechanic told me that I should have rear differential service every 2-3 years to drain and replace fluid.

I had the same thing on my 2003 at like 150k and 12 years. Mine came from the dessert so no to boat launching. I think it was due to him not changing the fluid. I change it every 2 years needed or not.

Install a rear diff cover that incorporates a drain plug. This will make changing the fluid a simple matter.

Make sure you do lots of highway driving. It tends to get the oil hot enough to burn off any water in there. I change mine every 100k kms. I launch boats all summer every summer. Never had an issue due to the extended highway miles
