Default P0402 and P0307

I have an 02 4.6 that is running rough even when at idle. The service light is on and was blinking for a while yesterday. Had the codes pulled and it showed a P0307 cylinder 7 misfire and a P0402 for a bad EGR valve. Does anyone know if theses codes would be related? I was also told to replace the DPFE sensor first but it is $80! Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Default Not in the Same Family:

402 is related to an EGR system sensor problem, maybe the DPFE sensor. A bum EGR valve is another possibility as is a bad EGR vacuum control valve. Clogged EGR passages in the intake goose-neck is another candidate as is a clogged edge orifice in the EGR pipe.....
307(gotta figure that one out) is a cylinder misfire probably due to a bad ignition wire, plug or COP/plug if so equipped.

80 bucks for a DPFE sensor?? I don't think so:

Good stuff BWD.
