Not What I Thought:
I was contemplating buying a '97 F150XLT/4.6L/AOD, which I did, and my research on the truck led me to believe that the ignition system was the COP, Coil-On-Plug version. Much to my surprise, when I got the truck and looked under the hood, I saw the old, reliable EDIS-8, twin-coil scheme.
The truck was manufactured in July of '96. When, if at all, did Ford change the ignition of the 4.6L engine to COP?
