Lash adjuster wore holes in the head?
Good evening guys,
I am in the middle of a full timing swap and figured I’d change out my roller followers and lash adjusters as well. Well as I was pulling out my lash adjusters I noticed that the cylinder that the lash adjusters sits in had a hole in the bottom of it! Every single one on both heads had what looked like a corn kernel sized hole at the bottom of the cylinder. I cannot find any information on this and I’m pretty much stumped as to my next step....
I had one bad roller follower that was chewed up but other than that everything else was preventive maintenance.
Has as anyone experienced this before?
Also this is a a new to me 07 screw with about 140,000 on the odometer.
I can’t upload photos to the site for whatever reason but these are the links to pictures of the holes I’m talking about.

Exactly. The lash adjusters are hydraulically controlled via oil (they ride on a cushion of oil, pushing against the rocker arms). If there were no holes to get oil to them, how would they work?
