Default Chipping a High Milage Truck

I have a 00 F150 7700 with about 150K on it. Is that too high of milage to chip it with an edge programmer? Or does milage not really matter? I have taked real good care of it so far, so I don't want to mess it up, but I also want the HP of a chip and intake.

Edge tuners blow. Use an Xcal 2 and have some fun.

Why not? Your not adding a 200 shot of nitrous. Probably help the old dog

Chips for gas engines add in the range of 20-35 hp at the rear wheels depending upon application and brand. With that said this increase in hp is something that the driver will notice and enjoy, but not something that will fry an engine. As mentioned earlier it is not a 200hp shot of nitrous oxide, so go ahead it won't hurt your truck.
However, although not applicable to this particular application, diesel tuners can add in the range of 125-150 hp, which can be detrimental to transmission components and other movable parts.

i sell chips all day long and i would not suggest chipping a truck with over 75,000 miles you can tweak the cam and once that happens its new motor time. i would just get a cool air intake a tb spacer and or an exhaust

Oh damn I better take the tuner off of my 150k Mustang and off of my 95k F150.. You OBVIOUSLY have no clue what you are talking about. How is a tuner going to "tweak the cam"? A tuner is a good thing to do. It gets the air fuel right, it gets the timing at optimum, Helps the engine run cleaner by getting the air fuel right. An SCT tuner can firm up the shifts without hurting the tramsmission.

A throttle body spacer can do what, make 1 hp and make the engine whistle? The cold air intake and exhaust cant work for optimum on the motor without a good tune.

You didnt know they add more power to older engines? So much hp it makes the cam twist like a soda can?...
