which brand oil pump is the best
 
got an 06 f250 5.4 3v,replacing motor, bought a used one, mistake, rebuilding it before I install it, should I replace oil pump, motor has 109,000.
Looking for the best oil pump with the best warranty,any thoughts?

I decided on the melling 360 from amazon about 100 bucks .
 
Take a look at the video of jasper engines on this subject . You tube it . I think a lot of my trouble was caused by poor oil pressure from oem oil pump and tensioner seals .
Cam phasors work off oil pressure supplied by the vct's , so if low oil press the cam phasor gets the blame .
I don't buy this lack of oil changes crap , mine was full synthetic changed on time .
I have changed it all including lash adjusters and rollers on the heads $265
OEM select ebay . Timing set OEM select $798 .
