Default Best exhaust gasket when a re-torque isn't possible

So I have my 2003(2nd gen) Expedition 4.6 out swapping it with a warranty motor so here's my question. On my F150 I used Percy dead soft aluminum exhaust gaskets after two or three heat Cycles I went in and was able to retorque all but two with a torque wrench and did last two by feel never had a problem with exhaust leak. Once the engine is in the Expedition with the exception of maybe 3 studs on each side you can not access them to retorque after heat Cycles. I have another set of Percy's dead soft aluminum gaskets or the steel ones that come with the engine. Which would be better to use when I can't retorque the studs? I've never not been able to retorque after install so I'm kinda wondering which works best for one and done
