99 F150 Stalls after tune-up
Hi All!
I have a 1999 F-150 V8 4.6. It has been the best running truck. We had to change the fuel pump over a year ago, only time it ever broke down.
Today we changed the fuel filter, spark plugs, PCV valve & air filter.
Truck started like normal and I went into the house get my wallet and the truck unexpectedly stalled when I was walking back. I started it again and let it idle and in a min or two it did the same thing. Started it and drove it two houses down and it stalled. Started back up and put it back in the drive.
Moral of the story.. It starts like a champ, runs like normal and stalls.
We checked over all our work and everything seems normal.
If anybody has any insight and would like to share I would appreciated it greatly.

I don't know if it is a MAF engine or not but usually if you mess with the PCV valve or the airfilter on a MAF engine there is a good chance you have a bit of unmetered air. You should check everything you did. The intake hoses could be cracked or loose. Anything past the MAF is unmetered.
