Default about the black pannels

reason for the couple of black panels is that i dinged the left front fender about 2 years ago and finally replaced that fender recently and ofcourse the grill panel has to come out to remove the fender I figgured id go ahead and paint them black since the whole truck is going black in the end.

Gonna look sweet man. How are you going about tuning the engine? Changing anything in the rear end?

What kind of performance upgrade do you think you'll get over a stock 4.6L SOHC motor? I have access to one of these motors cheap (around $300), and thinking of rebuilding it and replacing my tired 4.6L SOHC motor.

I have a manual trans, I'm guessing this should make the swap easier.

Well out of the box the 97/98 LSC model boast 290 hp. and slides a Lincoln Aviator through the quarter in the mid to high 14's and thats stock and N/A.
But if your looking to build an engine and pump some more ponies out of her I have to tell ya those sohc engines can be made insane with cams and other bolt on goodies only drawback to the sohc in my mind is the economy vs the fuel sipping dohc. Feel free to ask any questions ill be glad to answer to the best of my ability.

and finally got to play with her some more yesterday. Top of the engine revived a final assembly got the nightmare heater hoses figured out and installed. all the vacuum goodies but darn forgot to install the emission stuff...oh well lol. egr block is a success and due to enough close tolerances, rather than other egr block plate ideas i simply tapped the egr intake hole and stuck a 1/4 npt plug in there.
countdown to launch.
1.change shift linkage in transmission (tranny came out of a car,,, oops missed that one lol.
2. fill with tranny fluid
3.finish building cooling fan assm. oh yeah and put it in
4. cores rad/condencer
5.OMG repinning 104 pin ecu connecter
6. airbox
7. battery
8.throttle cable
and finally she'll get trailer queened to the exhaust shop and then to the tuner , but you can bet your butt its gettin at least started and ran a bit before the trailer. who knows maybe today, i can only hope. and heres a few pics of yesterdays progress.

Yea, I understand you can upgrade these things pretty stoutly. Did you do anything to yours? How was repinning that connector?
