351w identification help!?
Hey guys so a couple weeks ago i bought a 351w off of craigslist out of i think the guy said a 94 f250. Anyway i went and ran the numbers on the side of the block and they came back as an '89 crown vic block. WTF!?! why is this if it came out of an f250 that the guy bought brand new??? the identication number on the side was E9AE-6015-AA-13 then just under it to the right looks like maybe 9H24 or just 9H2. Also in the lifter valley it says 351 WCP-14. what does all this mean!? Help me out because im lost on this one.

They would be similar blocks with little or no major differences. One piece rear main seal, standard hydraulic lifter valley, two bolt mains, same 4" bore and 3.49" stroke crank, same rods, and either cast or possibly hyper eutectic pistons. If your going to build a motor with less than 400HP, you should be fine. The only difference between a truck and passenger car was the intake. Most of the late model Windsor family blocks came out of Mexico.
