I have a 2014 ford explorer with the 3.5 l ecoboost in it, I've been noticing the rotten egg smell for a week or two now with a slight decrease in fuel mileage, came out to get in the car this morning started it up and it has a rough jumpy idle, idles about 700 but bounces to 1000-1200 while in drive, also does the same thing when in drive or reverse, feels like something with a big cam lope in it, it accelerates fine but when it gets to higher rpm it falls on its face and makes what sounds like a popping/ rattling noise under the hood, I have no check engine light for catalytic converter or anything, does it sound like a clogged catalytic converter or something else?
