Default 3.15 Axle - Limited Slip?

So I’ve got a 2018 rwd V8 with a 10 gear transmission and a 3.15 axle (open diff)
I am towing a 2500 pound travel trailer and it seems too often that I get into spots where one tire is slipping and we are going no where.
I’m looking to improve traction for the occasional slippery spots and some light off-road capacity.

Anyone know now of anything that would work on a 3.15 rear end?

Thank you

personaly i think 3.15 is to high geared for a half ton truck. if you are willing to upgrade the rear end you can think about getting bigger tires with better tread. or trade for a 4wd

Was thinking a 3.55 LS would be a good solution.

Would it be something I would have do at Ford?
if not, how would it affect warranty?
Any idea how much something like that would cost?

thanks all

This question gets asked about once a week. There's a ton of threads about it on the forum. It's one of those "if you have to ask you probably shouldn't try it yourself" things. Lots of ways to get it wrong.

I would not be attempting to do it on my own. I was referring to a Ford Authorized in comparison to a local mechanic or aftermarket shop.
Would a Ford Shop offer such replacement?

i'm not sure if a ford shop would do this or not. a local mechanic shop would. you will need to find a rear end you want

Two words for you - Eaton Truetrac

Its a mechanical LS, no clutches to wear out, and it’ll eliminate 95% of your one wheel peels.

Looked into Eaton. Doesn’t seem like they’ve got a set for a 3.15. I’ve written them asking whether one of the other sets might fit, waiting on a reply.
Anyone know of a TrueTrac that would fit a 3.15 diff?

I'm also interested in exploring a limited slip rear end.
I will be following this thread.

I don't think there's a TrueTrac for the 8.8 Super. I wish they'd have just kept the 9.75. Too bad for you 8.8 guys because the TT is probably the best differential ever made. I put one in the '05 and love it. Now my Son has the truck and I want one in my '13. Beats the ELD any day, in my opinion.
