Apparently the person I was dealing with didn't order it (but took my $1,000 deposit). Then that person left the company and someone else called me up asking if I wanted to order the truck. Anyway, it was ordered in October now and I hope to go pick it up around Christmas.

The new 5.3L is direct injected and has a pretty decent torque curve. Better torque and hp than the Ford 5.0L......

Hopefully it will be a good one and I hope they don't have any bugs in this new engine.
I bet they will really be stout with a good tune

I just got a call from the dealer and my truck has left the plant and is on its way to the dealer right now. Shouldn't be long now. I suspect that because of their screw-up with ordering, that they put a rush on the order.

I drove both as well and bought the 5.0 as that is what I have had in all my Expeditions. Was not convinced that the eco could run on regular gas and the bottom line for me was the rebate on the 5.0 and the added cost of the eco was a dealbreaker so very happy with 5.0

Expedition has the 5.4 and will finally get the 5.0 in 2015. The EB was designed to run on regular gas so I don't see why that's a big issue. Glad you're happy though

Your thinking of the 5.4.. Not 5.0

You cannot get this kind of sound out of the 3.5L V6 Ecoboost.. only the V8 small block, properly exhausted, can conjure up memories of misspent youth like this...

I've installed a SOLO Performance Mach -X Dual Catback exhaust system on my 2013 F150 5.0

SOLO, aside from having one of the best systems and component line ups out there, are client centric. They just don't bolt on a stock unit and leave you there. They will work with you after the install to make certain that the sound profile you want is attained.

The exterior sound power levels and sound shape and profile are wonderful with this system. I was ecstatic, as you will see why here...

More on this later...

3ft/lb more torque, and 5hp less than the ford 5.0. no argument on fuel economy - chebby wins

That is true there is no replacement for the sound of a V8. I love muy Eco but it sounds like a six.

Attached is the torque curve for the 5.3L. I will look around for the 5.0L torque curve.

Ecoboost blows them both away. I wish I trusted the EB enough to get it.
