I'm willing to bet most of them are happy, just as most 5.0 and 6.2 folks are happy as well. KCCO
There are also folks that are sharing first hand experience with the EB. I think a prospective buyer should be made aware that they could have intercooler condensation issues. There is nothing worse than a 40k truck shutting down and going into limp mode at the absolute wrong time. Not all have this issue.....depending on the environment it is driven in, but there is that possibility.

Maybe you just go into an EcoBoost planning on doing one of the following:

Maybe even the catch can as well.

It will be fine unless you stop on a hill. LOW POWER, LOW TORQUE CAN'T CLIMB. All Hose Rear Brake Line? You really need to be insured when riding this truck.

That is just silly. The 3.7 has more power and torque than trucks 15 years ago that were pulling far more load.

I repeat.

IT IS ONLY 3500 lbs!

Ford doesn't make an engine in a truck that can't handle it with ease. Nether does dodge, Chevy, Toyota, Nissan, or anybody else.

HUH? Are you sure? ONLY 3,500 lbs.? It's a very Heavy Braking Problem especially when the engine die and when it did, just hope you can start it without any issues.

It's STUPID to buy this Problematic EcoBoost that compromise both
Safety & Reliability. Just look for yourself if you feel safe to drive this crap. Just ignore the Tundra and look at the STUPIDITY BOOST.

I can't believe you posted this sales pitch as some sort of facts. And btw both trucks have dual piston calipers in the rear it clear in the video but not so clear to the sales guy.

Not really a fair comparison. Tundra is sold as a 1/2 ton, but it is essentially a "light duty" 3/4 ton pickup. Like comparing an F150 to a Tacoma. Apples to apples, please.

The F150 with Ecoboost, Max tow and HD Payload package is more of a light duty 3/4 ton than Tundra will ever be!! And by the way my "crewmax" truck is rated for 11,300lbs for towing not 7700lbs like the video says. A little bit more than the 10,000 lbs the Tundra can tow..

Yeah, they both have Dual Piston Caliper on one side. Just look @ the pic below, it explains everything. How many pistons? 4 PISTON

I said IGNORE TUNDRA and look at EcoBoost. I won't cost so much if Ford will include those features.

EcoBoost will really boost the Economy by burning more Fuel.

Can your V8 4WD do this? if your answer is Yes. All I can say is, You will never know until you try.

I'm looking at 2014 F 150 with the 3.5 Eco boost. Have 07 with the 5.4 now. I tow 7x12 tandem enclosed trailer with the motorcycle. Will the Eco boost give enough power when pulling up the mountains of CO and down the interstate at 75 mph without working the truck to hard?

Quick Reply: 2013 Ecoboost or 5.0L V8 ?
