Default 2006 XLT that won't turn over

I Found an 06 XLT on Craigslist for $3000 the other day. I went and looked at it and everything about It was mint. The interior, exterior, brand new tires, and brand new flowmaster. The only catch was that the owner said he thinks engine has seized. Is this truck worth my time even if it needs a major tear down? I'm fully equipped and mechanically inclined so I'm not afraid to get into it if it needs it. When we turn the key, the starter makes a single click and that's it. Thanks for the help, anything is appreciated.

If you spend $4k on a long block, and install it yourself, would you be happy spending a total of $7k for that truck?
There are risks in a purchase like that though. You have no idea what condition the transmission, differentials, suspension, etc are in, so it is a gamble.
Ofcourse, it would be awesome if all it needed was a starter or even just a battery!
