i have a 1992 f150 flareside 5L V8, it wont start for some reason... it worked fine at first then one day it wouldnt start, it turns over and if you step on the gas while turning over it gets really close but still dosent it kinda sounds like its not gettin any gas, you can hear the fuel pump running and i changed the fuel filter already, what else can i try?

Update
i have now fixed the starting problem!..... BUT now when the engine is cold it works fine but as soon as it gets hot it messes up, when its in park it runs on idle fine but as soon as you put it in gear it quits... anybody have ideas? i need this fixed to finish my schooling...

check the vacuum lines. My old ranger did that exact same thing when I had a vacuum leak, I also replaced the EGR when I fixed the leak.
